.3`Nuclear Power Production and Operation / 032
Abstract: By the end of 2020, China had 48 nuclear power units in commercial
operation, whose total installed capacity is approximately 49880 MWe, ranking third
in the world, and distributed in 8 provinces along the coast. The annual nuclear power
generation is 366.243 billion kW·h, accounting for about 4.94% of the total national
power generation. The annual average utilization hours of nuclear power is 7426.98
hours, and the average utilization rate of nuclear power equipment is 84.55%. All
nuclear power plants operate safely and stably, and no operational incidents of level
2 or above occurred throughout the year. The full score ratio and average value of the

.4`Nuclear Power Engineering Construction / 049
Abstract: By the end of 2020, China had 17 nuclear power units under
construction, with a total installed capacity of 18.525 million kilowatts. The installed
capacity of nuclear power units under construction continued to rank fi rst in the world.
In 2020, China’s nuclear power projects under construction steadily promoted, and
completed a series of important project nodes. The project safety, quality, progress,
investment, technology, environment protection and other aspects effectively
controlled.
