Abstract：This report provides a detailed introduction to the development
of China’s nuclear energy industry in 2020 from eight aspects， and combines the
current domestic and international situations to analyze and prospect the development

of China’s nuclear energy industry. In 2020， China made new progress in scientific
and technological innovation in the fi eld of nuclear energy. The scale of commercial
nuclear power installations and nuclear power generation grew steadily， the scale

of nuclear power under construction remain the world leader， the production
and operation of the nuclear fuel cycle industry remain stable， the capability of

nuclear power equipment’s self-reliance and localization was further improved， the
modernization of the nuclear energy industry governance system and management
capabilities are promoted， the strength of the nuclear energy talent team was
strengthened， and fruitful results in the international cooperation in the peaceful

use of nuclear energy were achieved. In the future， nuclear energy will play an
indispensable role in achieving the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutralization in

China. Scientifi c and technological innovation of nuclear energy will further enhance
