CNNC held the first China-Nigeria "Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment" training
June 27th , 2023From April 25th to 26th, 2023, under the guidance of the China Atomic Energy Agency (CAEA) and the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, the first China-Nigeria "Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment" training hosted by the CNNC was held on the cloud. Physicians from the Nuclear Industry General Hospital, Nuclear Industry 416 Hospital, and experts in the field of cancer treatment from well-known domestic hospitals gave lectures. The teaching content covers 13 courses including nuclear medicine, radiotherapy and application of advanced medical technology. Nigeria is a country with a large population in Africa. Due to shortage of doctors, insufficient equipment and weak medical skills for a long time, it is difficult to meet the needs of patients for treatment. This training will help Nigerian doctors improve their diagnosis and treatment level, and will also promote the development of Nigeria's nuclear medicine industry, bringing good news to more patients. Taking this training as an opportunity, the cooperation between the two countries in the peaceful use of nuclear technology will be promoted to a new level. (Source: CNNC)
