As one of the largest nuclear industry exhibitions in the world, the China International Nuclear Power Industry Exhibition has become an important platform for the display and exchange of global nuclear power industry technology and major equipment. This year's China International Nuclear Power Industry Exhibition focused on the theme of "high-quality development of nuclear energy under the background of dual carbon", and focused on exhibiting new technologies, new equipment, and new applications in the current nuclear power field. Blue Book of China Nuclear Energy Development Report: 23 nuclear power units under construction, world-leading in scale
June 27th , 2023According to the blue book "China Nuclear Energy Development Report 2023" released by the CNEA on April 26, 2023, by the end of 2022, China has 23 nuclear power units under construction, with a total capacity of 25.55 GWe, leading the world in the scale of nuclear power under construction. The blue book summarizes and analyzes the current development status of China's nuclear energy industry from the aspects of nuclear power operation, engineering construction, and technological innovation, and looks into the prospects of China's nuclear energy development in the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Medium to Long Term. The blue book shows that China's nuclear power units have continuously maintained safe and stable operation for a long time, and the construction of nuclear power units has been steadily advancing. By the end of 2022, a total of 54 nuclear power units in China has been in commercial operation, with a total capacity of 56.82 GWe, ranking third in the world. In 2022, the total capacity of nuclear power in China accounted for 2.2% of the total capacity of electricity in China, with a power generation of 417.78 billion kWh, an increase of 2.5% year-on-year, accounting for approximately 4.7% of China's total power generation. The two sides exchanged views on the status of nuclear power development between China and France and how to deepen bilateral cooperation. Mr. Zhang Tingke said that this year marks the 40th anniversary of Sino-French nuclear energy cooperation, the successful cooperation between China and France in the Daya Bay and Taishan projects had played an important role in promoting the innovation of nuclear power technology and the development of nuclear energy in the two countries. In 2019, the CNEA established a group standardization committee, and the nuclear power standardization work has made positive progress. It is hoped that the two sides will continue to expand and deepen practical cooperation in nuclear power standards and other fields through complementary advantages. The 40th Anniversary of Sino-French Nuclear Energy Science and Technology Cooperation Held in Beijing
June 27th , 2023On March 29, 2023, the commemorative event for the 40th anniversary of Sino-French nuclear energy technology cooperation was held at the China Institute of Atomic Energy. Of the CNNC' Over the past 40 years, CNNC and CEA have established seven collaborative laboratories in the fields of reactor thermal hydraulics, severe accidents, aging and life management of PWR NPPs, fast reactors, nuclear fusion, geological disposal, decommissioning and radioactive waste management. The two sides have sent more than 1,000 experts and scholars to each other to carry out further training and exchanges, and jointly signed and implemented more than 500 special cooperation projects. CNNC and EDF have successfully held six Sino-French nuclear energy technology innovation seminars, and achieved good results in cooperation in the fields of serious accidents, additive manufacturing, and material research and development. The Sino-French consortium team jointly established by CNNC and Framatome successfully won the bid and successfully implemented the main engine installation project of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor. The world's first international standard in the field of nuclear fusion officially released
June 27th , 2023On March 6, 2023, the international standard "Reactor Technology-Nuclear Fusion Reactor-Nuclear Fusion Reactor High-temperature Hot Helium Leak Detection Method for Pressure-Containing Components" (ISO 4233: 2023) was officially released. Its preparation was organized by the CNNC, led by the Southwest Institute of Physics of CNNC, and participated by the Institute of Nuclear Industry Standardization of China Nuclear Strategic Planning Research Institute. This standard is not only China's first international standard in the field of nuclear fusion, but also the first international standard in the field of nuclear fusion issued by ISO. The issuance of the standard has effectively enhanced China's influence in the international nuclear fusion field, helps fill in the gaps of ISO standards in nuclear fusion, and created a new situation in the international fusion standardization work.
