On April 1, 2023, the launch meeting of CNNC Namibia Engineering Technology R&D Center was successfully held at the Rosing Uranium Mine in Namibia. Mr. Zhang Jianhua, Director General of the National Energy Administration of China, and Mr. Cao Shudong, Deputy General Manager of CNNC, delivered speeches respectively. Mr. Zhang Jianhua said in his speech that Namibia was an important partner of China in the field of uranium resources. He hoped that CNNC would give full play to its advantages in uranium mining and metallurgy technology R&D and engineering design, adhere to innovation-driven, and build the R&D center as a scientific and technological innovation platform and talent training base for deepening Sino-Namibian uranium resource cooperation, and make more positive contribution to promoting Sino-Namibia energy and economic and trade cooperation.
