On 4 February, the inner containment dome for Unit 3 at the CNNC Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Plant was successfully hoisted into place. This is the first nuclear power unit in China to complete inner dome installation during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), signifying its full transition from civil construction to equipment installation. This milestone lays a solid foundation for subsequent installation, commissioning and grid connection, marking a “strong start” to the new year for Phase II of the Zhangzhou nuclear power project and providing robust momentum for the steady advancement of China’s nuclear power construction.
