China’s Heat Transfer Unit for Steam Generators Used at Gen IV NPP Put into Mass Production
The ceremony for the initial shipment of heat exchange unit – a key component of steam generator used for the world’s first Gen IV NPP – was held in Yixing, Jiangsu Province on March 31. The delivery of all 38 sets of heat exchange units is slated to be completed in August 2016, signifying a breakthrough in the production technology of heat exchange unit in steam generator and the maturity for mass production. The batch of products is set to be used in China’s HTR demonstration project with the independent intellectual property rights.
