On February 25, the National Nuclear Safety Administration held the experts Committee meeting in Beijing to deliberate the review and supervision of the construction permit application for CAP1400 demonstration project .

　　After deliberation, the Experts Committee agreed that: CAP1400 demonstration project met the requirements by the existing laws, regulations and standards on nuclear safety in China, reached the safety objectives for new nuclear power units during the 13th Five-year Plan as set forth in the 12th Five-year Plan for Nuclear Safety and Radioactive Pollution Prevention and Vision for 2020; the Ministry of Environmental Protection (National Nuclear Safety Administration) reached the conclusion that the construction permit application for CAP1400 demonstration project was appropriate; it was suggested that the Ministry of Environmental Protection (National Nuclear Safety Administration) approve the environmental impact statement for CAP1400 demonstration project (construction phase) and issue the construction permit.
