On 27 April, Cao Shudong, Executive Vice President of the China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA), met with Xavier Ursat, President of the French Nuclear Industry Association (GIFEN) and Senior Executive Vice President of the EDF Group, along with other French representatives, in Beijing. During the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the development of nuclear energy in their respective countries and future cooperation between the two associations. They also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation.

Also in attendance were Long Maoxiong, Deputy Secretary-General of CNEA, Ms. Sylvie Bermann, President of the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) and former French Ambassador to China, Tony d’Aletto, Nuclear Counsellor at the French Embassy in Beijing, and Jean-Philippe Lamarcade, President of the France-China Electricity Partnership Association (PFCE) and ED’s President in China.
