On April 14, 2024, the China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA) successfully convened its ninth Third Council Meeting and twelfth Executive Council Meeting in Beijing. The meetings were presided over by Zhang Tingke, the Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Association, who delivered the 2024 Annual Work Report of the China Nuclear Energy Association. The attending representatives fully confirmed and highly praised the work of the Association's Secretariat.

The meetings recognized that under the background of the dual carbon goals and the development of new quality productivity, nuclear energy, as a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient high-quality energy source, plays an important role in optimizing energy mix and ensuring energy security. The Association is committed to innovation while maintaining integrity, and strives to make progress and make positive contributions to the safe, efficient and sustainable development of nuclear energy in China.
