On September 9, 2022，the China National Space Administration and the China  Atomic Energy Authority jointly released the latest scientific achievements of Chang'e 5 in Beijing: Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology of the CNNC found a new mineral in the study of lunar samples which was named "Chang'e Stone" and approved by the New Mineral Classification and Naming Committee of the International Mineral Association. This is the first lunar new mineral discovered byChina and the sixth lunar new mineral discovered internationally.
